Vegetable Garden

The students were divided into 5 groups and planted vegetable seeds into trays and put them in the hot house. Thankfully  3 local  students came during the school holidays to water the seedlings. The progress of the vegetables will be shown on this page.

We will be involved in activities to show how We Can Help Save the Earth.

I’m looking forward to more news on the progress of your vegetable garden and the other activities you are involved in to help save the earth. It’s eomething we all need to think about and do something about, isn’t it?

  2.   Anne Mirtschin Says:

Hi grade 3! What kind of seeds did you plant? Do you have cauliflowers and pumpkins? They are my favourite vegetables. Our chooks are always getting into our vegie garden so we had to build a big high fence around it to stop them from coming in but the peacocks still fly over. Do you have any problems with rabbits or birds?

  3.   Patrick and Elaine Day Says:

We too will look forward to hearing how the vegies grow. Callum has spring onions and silverbeet in his vegi graden at home – our vegie garden is made out of an old water tank.
Will keep an eye on this blog to see what you Grade 3’s get up to

    Hi Mrs Murch,
We have no trouble with rabbits or birds because most of our vegetables are in the hot house still. We have had a bit of trouble with the plants outside because the snails are eating them. We have cauliflower but not pumpkin. Here are the vegetables: garden peas, carrots, sugar snap peas, beetroot, rocket leaves and strawberries and I am in the garden peas group. At home we have 4 chooks left because our dog Buzz ate 2 of them. Jess our other dog barks at them. My favourite vegetable is sweet potato.
    See you soon!
    Love from Eliza
